In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.
The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana together with multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
